Born in India yoga is a philosophy with over 5000 years of existence. The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word yuj which means to join, to tie, to hold, to direct and concentrate the attention onto something for its application and use.
Translated as well as the union of our will and God’s will, we can refer to yoga as the discipline of the intellect, the mind, and the balance of the body and soul. Yoga allows us to look at life in all its aspects in a uniform way, from it’s own real nature. Yoga is a method, a path which changes the way to see our life. We become aware and this awareness determinates deep changes in our way to behave, paying attention to every thought, every action and every word. It is helping us to remember, to rediscover and to recognize our real being.
“When senses are quiet, when mind rests, when intellect does not hesitate, then -say the wise- we reach the superior state. The strong control of mind and senses is been also defined as yoga. The one who obtains it finds himself away from deceit and remembers who he really is “
