The Azul Freediving Challenge is an intermediary competition with a maximum depth of 70m. It is perfect for beginners and advanced freedivers who wish to discover the world of freediving competition.
Most competition are very elitist, but Azul freediving Challenge wants to be a fun competition where every freediver can have fun and share his experiences!
During 3 days, athletes will try to do their best to score points and make it to the podium. Winners will get prizes from our sponsors during the closing ceremony !

The Spring and Fall editions of the Azul Freediving Challenge 2024 will take place on May 24, 25, and 26, and on September 27, 28, and 29, respectively. Workshops and training sessions will be offered in the week preceding each edition.
The Cenote Yum-Kin is located 74km away from Playa Del Carmen and it’s a perfect place for freediving ! It is a large cenote with facilities near by to get ready. The Cenote itself has a depth of 87m, the max depth allowed on the competition will be 75m. The water temperature is high (around 25 degrees), as in all cenotes there is no waves or current, this offers amazing conditions.
